is it possible to mod ur ps2 with a psx mod chip i have a mod chip for my old old ps1 with four wires off it i didnt install it a friend did would it be possible to add extra wires and solder it to the ps2 or does the chip need something doing to it please please help

i very much doubt it mate as a pic chip small chip is programmed with data then you have to solder it into a ps1 but the ps2 mod chips will have different programming in them...just my humble opinion... dont take it as gospel but used to mod ps1 and ps2 and the chips although looked identical they arent!!

is there anyway to reprogramme my psx mod chip to work in a ps2 any help would be very gratefull
