Can anyone help me & let us know what the booth sockets on the back of my mixer are for? and would they be any use for plugging in a standalone CD audio recorder for recording singers? if not, where do I plug it it?
Any help appreciated.

Booth Output - Many mixers feature booth outputs, a separate output that's usually used by the DJ for his monitor speakers -it simply gives a separate level control for the monitors than the main output.

i'm guessing you have a seperate amp so you should be ok using these to record from, it would help if you said which mixer you're using.

hope this helps

Thanks for the info Steve, I'll look at them a little more closely & make a few experiments.

I use the booth output on mine to drive the sound to light unit.
