Double and triple check that you don't have a firewall running on your computer (there is one in Windows XP). Also, is your xbox plugged in to your TV at the time? Both the power and video cable must be plugged in (a few people have made the mistake of not having the video cable plugged in). What are you current setting on your PC and your Xbox?

ok, I definitely don't have a firewall, and the cables are all plugged in. The computer and xbox were on like (192.168.0.3) (192.168.0.2) and the gateway was 192.168.0.1 but its not anymore as that didn't work.

what dashboard are you using? If it's evox go to the settings/options menu and turn OFF static ip. Don't worry, the xbox ip will stay the same (at least for me), and it got it working after I replaced my hdd. The other dashboards should have a similar menu for you to change static ip too.

on the pc set your nics IP to

192.168.0.1 =IP
255.255.255.0 = subnet mask
192.168.0.3 = gateway

Then in the xbox go into the settings and set the static ip to yes, then set the following (in the lower ip not at the top)

192.168.0.2 =IP
255.255.255.0 = Subnet Mask
192.168.0.3 = Gateway

once you make the settings as above scroll to the bottom of the page and select save settings. then reboot the xbox and go back into settings to be sure that the ip is as above, leave the xbox on this screen

open flashfxp and select sites/site manager and create a new site called xbox and put the above xbox IP in, password and username = xbox select apply then connect and you should be able to connect now

Let Me Jump In Here....dueling Newbies....lol

My Network Card Works, But Light Won't Come On When Hooked Up To Xbox, How Do I Know If It Is My Settings On My Pc Or My Settings On My Xbox?

Could You Run Through Setting Up The Card On The Pc? I Know It's Alot To Ask But I Just Spent 500 Bucks On External Dvd Writer And External Hdd For My Pc So I Could Back Up Games/ect And Now I Just Have 500 Bucks Worth Of Whatnots.....useless To Me.

I EDITED TO ADD THIS:

I think I do not have a cross over cable, grrrr
i know how to make one but can we kill the person that came up with that idea.....or at least bruise them a little.

I would still be iterested to read what you have to say about the network card though, please
