MrMusician2005 Feb 17, 2005, 11:02 PM Hey guys, new here.. I have a RSQ-MV333 3 disc karaoke player. I have about 200 CD+G discs and I would like to back them up, but have yet to be able to.
So far, heres what I've done and have.
I own a NEC ND-3520A (black casing) 16x DVD-/+RW recorder
I bought Fufi CD-R discs
I have Golden Hawk 3.5 K, set the extract mode to CD+G and when I get ready to record, I am unsure which to choose ("Load Tracks" or "Load Cuesheet").. So I tried both ways, but each time, I get the error below:
Error: 'Start DAO Recording' command failed on device 1:0:0 cuesheet rejected by the CD-ROM recorder.
need to what i am doing wrong?
maddhatter62 Feb 17, 2005, 11:40 PM If you're just wanting CD to CD copies:
Open CDRWin
Click on Back up disk (The icon with two CDs and an arrow going from one to the other. Second from left, top row.)
Click on Copy to Image and Record *
Choose what drive you want to temporarily store the image file, under Devices, Image Disk
Choose your NEC ND-3520A for both CD Reader and CD Recorder
Check the CD+Graphics box only
Leave defaults for everything, until you get down to Recording Options
Check the Underrun Protection box
Check Max Speed
Disk Transporter Mode Disabled
Click Start
Once the image is recorded from the original disk, the NEC ND-3520A will open and you'll get a prompt to insert a blank disk. Insert the disk.
The image will now be burned onto the disk.
Repeat process for each disk backup.
* You can choose Copy directly to CD Recorder if you have a second CD or DVD rom which can read CD+G. It's usually safer to use the Copy to Image and Record method anyway.
Good luck!

MrMusician2005 Feb 18, 2005, 07:17 PM man did everything u said.. but it wont give me the option to select CD+G on that screen.. i thought the drive I had was supported by this software, does this mean i need to buy a Plextor, and which should i get?
maddhatter62 Feb 18, 2005, 08:28 PM It is compatible, according to www.goldenhawk.com.
Is your CDRWin version correct? 3.5K? If it's the newest it should be 3.9K.
Here's my e-mail: maddhatter628@hotmail.com
Send me a screenshot of the window where you don't get the opportunity to select Check the CD+Graphics box only.

Holler Feb 18, 2005, 09:33 PM Well...
I have yet to see a NEC drive burn CD+G with CDRwin.
You will have to use one of the other routes (Nero, Clone CD, Alcohol, Disk juggler).
Try it out!
:)
maddhatter62 Feb 19, 2005, 01:09 AM Holler,
That's the strange part...it's listed as CD+G compatible on Goldenhawk.

Holler Feb 19, 2005, 03:10 AM mmmm... not quite...
The burner is supported by CDRwin for regular audio. Goldenhawk's list of CD+G compatible writers in listed separately in the CDRwin FAQ. I know... why would they put it there LOL!!!!
You will only be able to check the CD+G box in CDRwin if the drive is fully compliant, meaning it can re- and de-interleave data on the fly. Very few burners have the hardware to do that (all Plextor do, some Sony, some HP, Yamaha, few others). The rest that cannot we deem as non-(CDRwin)-compatible.
We have seen all of that before with individual tracks. However, with CDRwin, it applies to disk imaging as well. Straight backups can only be done with CDRwin with a fully compliant drive. The rest would have to use CloneCd, Alcohol 120% or one of the other imaging programs out there.
:)
maddhatter62 Feb 19, 2005, 10:47 AM Thanks for that information, Holler. I've looked at the list of compatible devices in the FAQ before, but it always seemed so dated...especially the Plextor list.
Holler Feb 19, 2005, 01:36 PM yeah... it is about 3 years old! It just shows that the list of compatible devices is not nessessarily the list of CD+G compatible devices for CDRwin.
REDBULL Feb 20, 2005, 05:57 PM ive got a 3250 and use the clone route as nero doesnt seem to work for me , i dont do disk to disk though but should imagine ure be fine , if u can extract the mp3 and cdg then use clone route
karaoke1 Feb 23, 2005, 11:21 AM  If your drive supports the reading and writing of cd+g then use clone cd which must be the easiest copying software on the market! Just put the disc in, clone will read it, then put in a blanc disc, in literally a few minutes you will have a perfect cd+g copy! I use this all the time to back up my collection.
