hi all.
i'm new to all this karaoke business, and i've got a couple of questions for all of you.

first of all, my computer is a mac, and i haven't really come across much info about what programs that can be used to rip/burn discs, convert files, and host karaoke from my computer.

second, i have never used ftp before, and i basically know nothing about it and i want to learn. i know this is a cd-rom forum, but i've seen quite a few posts referring to ftp, so i figured someone here might be able to help me out. and again there is the mac issue.

any info would really help me out. thanks!

I've been using kTunes for alittle while, and it sure looks solid.

kTunes is still a little kludgey for ripping CD+G discs, but it CAN do it.

There is another package that's been around for quite some time, but doesn't have the frequency of updates.

iStar specializes in the MIDI Karaoke format.

We're still years behind the PC for Karaoke, but these two products give us hope. I'm still interested in any rippers and/or authoring software out there. In the meantime, I'm looking into creating my own DVD Karaoke.
