i lost power at my house and now my xbox is screwed.

when i turn it on it boots up for about a second and then turns off, then it turns itself on again and flashes green, then turns off again. then ir turns itself on for the second time and then flashes red and green. the whole time i get no video output on my TV.

all i really want to know is, what exactly is broken? any way to tell whether it's the dvd drive, the hard drive, the modchip,the motherboard, etc. i dont have other drives to test out. and i dont want to go out and get a new box just to find out it was only the dvd drive that was messed up.

the xbox is modded by the way, with a xecuter 2 lite i believe.

Sounds like when the power went out, it may have corrupted some of the main files on the hard drive.

Depending on how your xbox was setup you "might" be able to recover it. If you don't have backups of your files, it's not likely though.

i got a hold of the guy who modded it and he said the chip needs to be re-flashed. hopefully that's the case, guess i'll find out

That could be too, I didn't think of the bios gettng corrupted but it a good possibility. Thinking of it that way, thats where I would start, then progress to hard drive recovery if that did not work.
