i put my ps2 back together it was ok it read retail ps2 games ok i turned it off last night turn it back on today and al i get is disc read error i took it apart to make sure all ribbons were attached right ive done it bout 10 times now same thing. Would if any of my solder points wernt soldered right or to the chip would it casue this?

This sounds like a V9-v11 system with a semi-fried LA6508. I have encountered systems of these models that are able to run originals but not copies due to damaged coils. Measure them to see if they are OK.
