hi, i would like to ask whether the thickness of the CD-R has anything to do with the recording speed, quality of files. I notice that imations CD are relatively thicker than some of the others. And usually the oringinal disks are much thinner, why so?

I imagine the originals are thinner cos there pressed and not burnt,

get a micrometer and measure the discs your asking about, post back with the thickness's of the CDR's
