Could anyone that does the race nights tell me that once you have taken the bets in ,and deducted what goes to charity etc say 20 to 30% then you divide whats left into the amount of tickets you have sold on each horse to work out the odds out, then do you still pay back the odds they have placed over an above the winnings or simply just pay out what the odds are ?
Thanks for anyone that answers
Cheers

CC I don't know why you are involving yourself in odds for the races.

It is a simple calculation sell each of the 8 horses for £1.00 add up the amount of the money you have collected deduct your percentage for the charity, run the race and then payout the whole of the pot for that race to the number of winning tickets for the winning horse.

That is probably the way I am doing it but on the last charity night someone said "do I get my £1 bet back as well as the winnings" so I thought I better ask the question.
So you are saying just take off the % for charity and divide whats left between the amount of tickets sold on the winning horse in each race, and thats it !

That's it CC do not get involved in odds or money back, if you get involved in odds and open betting you will get yourself in big trouble with the Gaming Act and find yourself in court m8.
