I just upgraded my Windows Media Player from 8 to 10, and now my cd-rw nor my DVD-RW are recognized in My Computer. They are both listed in Device Manager, and "working properly". I've already tried removing the upper/lower limits in reg, and uninstalling them from Device Manager. The problem I have when I do this is, when I reboot, Windows loads up until the login screen, which doesn't come up, all I get is a screen that looks like the logon screen, but only has the WinXP logo and I can't log on. I've tried uninstalling WMP10 and it won't uninstall. I've tried System Restore but it now has no dates back past the WMP10 install. I don't know what else to try. Anyone have any ideas? Any help greatly appreciated. Oh, BTW, yep, I'm running WinXP.
