I am running W98 on a Pentium 3 (866) and had to put a new Cd burner in. I installed a Liteon CDR but have had problems since. I have sorted out most of them and had to put more memory in. When I play cd's, it is fine although sometimes freezes but when I try to install the new Nero 6 which it came with, it freezes on me. I also got rid of Nortons and purchased VET. I don't know whether 98 is the problem but am worried XP might run too slow. I now have 384 mb memory. Any help would be very much appreciated.

Is this an Internal CD Burner? This maybe a "jumper" setting, Master, Slave etc?
