Okay,
I have a lovely old guy who comes to one of my shows who has alzheimers disease.
in other words, he can't remember bugger all half the time.
But.....he can always remember "danny boy", and sings it EVERY time !!!
Lovely.....
He says he also knows "in the beginning", but I can't figure out what it could be.
KSLC does not list it, and he can't remember who sings it!
he is 70 odd so it will be old.

Anybody any ideas to save me from endless danny boys?????? :)

Frankie Laine - In The Beginning
Reached number 20 in the charts in March 1955

Sounds old enough to me ;)
