i just formatted my computer and installed win xp pro with service pack 2 and just noticed that my cd rw is not recognized by the system and its not on the device manager menu .

notes
i can open it and close no problems
the green light is on when open or close
it was working fine before formatting my comp.
tried deleting the UpperFilters under this key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318

no lower filters there did not find any

did not reinstall nero after formatting

in bios both keys are set to auto "can't remember the name
' ld something
and one more thing bought a new monitor updated the drivers but did not roll them back

When did this appear, straight after installing Windows? Or did you install the burning software then it happened?
