I am trying to copy some old VHS tapes onto DVD but because of a copyright signal it wont let me do it.I have been told that I need a micrivision disabler, does anyone know where I can get one ? Can I disable something on my DVD recorder? Has anyone got any other ideas?? :confused:

Some dvd recorders can be made macro free, yes.

You can buy a descrambler on the net. I saw an add for one about a year ago. I can't remember the cost but it was relatively cheap. Do a search and you could probably find several brands. About 15 years ago they were commonly sold in Radio Shacks in my area but I haven't seen them being sold there in years. If this chain exists in the UK you should consider checking it out.
