Hi troops I am unable to do a system restore be cause of this message.

Unable to runthis application because framedyn.dll was not found reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

The reason I am trying to restore my pc to an earlier time is because I downloaded a file which was corrupt. I have run chk disk. adaware. ect ect but need this file to run restore any ideas as to how I can do this thanks in advance bob

Replace the Framedyn.dll File
1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type %systemroot%\system32\dllcache, and then click OK.
3. Right-click framedyn.dll, and then click Copy on the shortcut menu that appears.
4. Click Start, and then click Run.
5. In the Open box, type %systemroot%\system32\wbem, and then click OK.
6. On the Edit menu, click Paste. If you are prompted to replace the existing file, click Yes.

Thanks a million mate worked like a dream . only problem now is I have two more error messages.

No 1 Is as follows

reader_sl.exe
This application has failed to start because MSVCR71.dll was not found

No 2 is as follows

Rundll
error loading C:\windows\system32\NVCPL.dll the specified module could not be found.

Any chance you can work your magic on these two thanks bob

Download the file and put it into place

If you have adobe acrobat, reinstall it, see if that sorts your first error message.

Forgot to ask if you have Xp media edition installed ?

Its Windows Xp professional. What can I say have reinstalled adobe first error message has gone. the second error message was a nividia library dll have updated drivers and walla no more error messages. Once agin many thanks mate really appreciated the help bob
