I am going to buy this External DVD Burner for burning PS2 DVD games.
I want to know=What is USB 2.0? All I know is that I have 2 USB Ports (The same as PS2) I can put the headset and such in there. I want to know how do I know if I have it?
And....From the link above...it says No power adaptor included. Do I even need a Power Adaptor?
One more thing:It says Pentium III but how do I find out what pentium I have? I'm terribly sorry but i'm a n00b. All I know is that it says on the side of my tower Intel Celeron Processer 1.3GHz.
~Thanks

Hi matey,
USB 2 is a faster transfere rate than standard USB. However USB 1 will do the job but you may not be able to burn at high speed, probably only 4 speed max.
Your processor is ok for the job, Probably best option is to but a USB 2 card and install it, dead easy just plugs into a PCI slot.

Thanks a lot both of you!
Just still need this answered: Do I need a power adaptor? Cause it says it doesn't include one.

AS it says none supplied then yes you will need a power adaptor. It's going to be 12V DC by the way.
I doubt that you've got onboard USB2 as it's a relatively older system so a USB 2 PCI card will be needed as well. It would be very foolish to try with USB 1.1 only.

Hmm.....
Then, do you know of any external DVD-R burners that I don't need to buy anything extra for? I only have $65 on me. :(

So, the Benq one is $39 but it is internal but the external case is $25? If i'm right, how do I make an internal drive external?
