I've found that Partition Magic formats a HD incredibly fast...literally a few seconds. It's incredibly easy to use. After that you can just re-install your OS. Depending on which OS you use, you may have to configure your PC to boot from a CD drive. Another method you can try...but it's incredible slow and I know you want it done quickly...boot up in DOS, at the prompt type in " format c: ", choose " yes " when it asks you if you're sure that you want to do this and then let it do what it has to do. Good luck.

i use vcom's securerase. this wipes the drive completely clean. however, it does take a rather long time but is easy to use. it really takes time if you have a larger hd. but it does a good job. for a quicker erase that doesn't cost you anything. boot up in dos mode and run format c: and that works. then just reinstall what you want. i just did that a few days ago. good luck
