I ) Has anyone used Lightscribe? If so, what's your opinion. I've seen pix of Lightscribed disks...the labels looked monchrome to me. Does it print in different colours?

II ) What about regular printed labels...would they really throw off your drive's ability to read a disk...I've only labelled a few times and that was almost three years ago...neither my PC drives or standalone seemed to have a problem with the labels...was this just a fluke?

Thanks in advance for any help.

I can only answer #2.

The general advice is not to use printed labels.

However, I always label my CDs & so far it's never caused a problem. I used to label DVD's but not now.
For CDs I like to know what tracks are on it but for a DVD I just write on the title so no real need for a label.
I think you will get problems if you don't centre the label properly or it's not all stuck down smoothly, otherwise it should be fine.
