I currently use a Yamaha writer with CDRWIN with no probs but am thinking of investing in a new system incorporating a Sony CRX230ED. Does anyone know if this writer is fully compatible with CDRWIN with regard to CDG's. Would appreciate any experiences. Thanx

http://www.goldenhawk.com (the makers of CDRWin) will know if it`s compatible. Check the site for the supported hardware list and if neccessary send them an email. Not exactly difficult is it? :round:

Already checked the list, and yes I know it is listed. I was actually looking for helpful personal experiences, which often speak volumes more than a manufacturers recomendations but thanks for the sarcasm, it helped no end.

Most Sony's model numbers with a '5' in it do not work.

Hmmmmmmm... not sure about the 230 though. True, supported by CDRwin and supported by CDRwin for CD+G single tracks is two totally different things.

You want the sure bet? Spend the extra couple bones and grab the Plextor.

Mind you, you can burn with Nero, Cue2CCD / CloneCD or PowerKaraoke Burner works with most any burner.

Anyone else?

:)

thanks for the sarcasm, it helped no end.

You`re most welcome :D

And it wasn`t sarcasm, it was ennui at people who don`t even bother to introduce themselves, but just dive straight in on the take.
Hope you get it sorted anyway :)
