I dont know where to buy them from in the US, but in the UK I usually buy Inkright, Jet Tec, or Datasafe cartridges.

Is there a way to feed the printer directly with bottles of ink with ink ribbons.

That should be cheaper doesnt it??

will that affect the quality of printing???

Pull the plug out :D

In answer to your other query, yes I have seen a contraption which allows you to feed tubes into your printer head unit, fed from large bottles of ink. The only problem being it cost many hundreds of pounds to do the conversion. If I can remember where I saw it I`ll post a link.
Alternatively, if you try www.ukdvdr.co.uk, or www.svp.co.uk you`ll find compatible Epson R200/300 cartridges at less than £5 per set of 6. Now that`s cheap!!

Oh sorry - just noticed you`re in the U.S.A. Well there must be some sites across The Pond which do inks just as cheaply???
