You were going so well till that comment.
Anyway, a lot of older versions of EasyCD were problematic (latest version is excellent).
If you aren't having any problems, leave it alone.
If you want to try another program, Nero is very good, or if you want Freeware, then try CDBurner XP (http://www.cdburnerxp.se/).

I want to thank you from the midwest. Does this work with win. media 10? I thought someone might point me to where I could get the easy cd for free. I,m stumbling my way through this, since these things weren't around when I was a kid. But I fine the challenge rewarding with people like you :) Insomniac.

I think there are serious difficulties running earlier versions of Roxio, especially V4, on XP.
You could try getting V7/V7.5 on the file sharing systems. Bit Torrent being the best probably.
Alternatively look on Ebay. They often have the likes of Roxio & Nero for very small sums. I've just looked & Nero (6.6.0.16) is there for $11 & Roxio (V7 basic) for $7 upwards
There are plenty of free apps around & a good place to look would be probably be Afterdawn (http://www.afterdawn.com)

Here's another free CD/DVD burner. Has all the bells and whistles but it's so small it fits on a floppy and you don't even need to install it. You can run it from a floppy or thumbdrive.

As you have to pay for Easy CD, I can't tell you where to download it from as that's illegal.
Either buy the latest version, or Nero, or try one of the free programs linked.
As far as whether or not it works with Media Center, it works with XP, so I can't forsee any problems.
