hi there....i own a Gameshark 2 v5.1 cd for ps2....i been trying to copy it, so i can use the backup and keep the original safe....but to my surprise i couldn't copy it, i have ps2 modded, and been backing up my games....so is there a protection to the gameshark cd?....i used clonecd, nero, but the disk can not be read to make the image neither program....the gameshark cd work fine, so i know its not the disk......anyone can help me?

Hi, EMDY, I've been trying to do the same thing but nothing works either. And I haven't been able to find even and indication on the internet. There must be a way to rip that damn disk! Have you had any luck? Can anyone help us?

I have the same problem, and actually my old gameshark v4 is too damage and cannot run in my ps2 anymore!
so I just bought the latest verion... I wanna back it up... before it go bad
p.s. they probably have the same protect for all verion cause both disc I try stop reading around 4%!!

Actually I was trying to backup the Gameshark V2 disc.
There's actually one single file that cannot be copied, at least not by a common drive (I forgot the name of that file). So, there is a way to copy the disc (as I've heard) but you gotta have (or find) a cd or dvd drive that's damn good. Perhaps not an LG trash drive but something powerful - when I get the disc borrowed from a friend I'll try to copy it on my new Pioneer double-layer DVD burner and see what happens.
