I have another problem now :(. I do apologize about this but i am trying to do ipconfig /all but when i try to load the command prompt it apeears for a split second and disappears. This happens no matter which way i do it. Any ideas?

load the command prompt first..

go to start > Run
type in command

then at the c prompt
type in ipconfig /all

when i try to load the command prompt it apeears for a split second and then disappears

Thats the problem that needs to be rectified. I know how to do ipconfig /all :)

So how are you getting the command promp to appear for a couple of seconds, are you launching a CLI window or just running the IPConfig from the run menu ?

I am just going to start | Run, typing cmd. The command prompt will appear and then disappear.

okay just to make sure you dont have a problem on your machine, do a search for the command program and launch it from source, if it wont run, try a sfc /scannow to see if the windows files are all intact
