Tried to boot up by xbox on Sunday (26/02/06) but all I get after the green xbox logo is a couple of coloured lines on the screen. The last thing I used the xbox for was to test playing an xvid I had burnt on a dvd-rw on the previous Friday.

Xbox has been sent away to be softmodded (Dec 2004) and has had very little use during the last 12 months.

Any ideas to what can be wrong ?

Can the softmod be removed ?
