Hi All! This is my first POST! :wavey:

I just built a system and I put in a DVD/CDRW Combo drive, the problem is the computer is displaying the right type & model number for the drive but the system is reading the drive as a read only. At first I thought that it was the CDRW software I was using so I uninstalled it and installed Nero but the samething happen. I check the DVD/CDRW drive configuration & properties in the both CDRW programs and it says that the drive has read abilities but no write abilities. :confused:

So I thought that it must be the drive because it's saying the same thing in both applications. So I switch out the drive and put in a DVDRW drive and I got the same information on that one too! So no matter what drive I put in, it's reading them as read only drives. Have anybody experienced this problem before and if so how do I fixed it.

Any and all help with this will be most appreciated.
