HI can anyone help me
i got a 2 month old lg gsa 4761b which was working fine with the various media types i use but now all of a sudden when burning with roxio and nero i gets to around 80% and i get the following msg Seek, Synch, ATIP or Mechanical Positioning Error-Hardware Error. i have checked the drive and it seems ok and i have also updated the firmware for it but no matter what media i have used it still fails. i am now at a lost as to what is causing the problem :bawling:

personally I wouldn't have those two burning programs on my PC at the same time

I've had Nero & Roxio on mine for years without a problem.

As the message says - hardware error. Return it to the supplier for a refund or replacement.
