I'm looking to get a new burner tomorow after having a couple of issues with 2 Pioneers. I'm looking for anything BUT Pioneer really.

Looking for 8 speed burning, -R and +R and dual layer.

What do you guys think?

Cheers!

I’ve got two burners in my PC and both are great. They’ll do what you’re looking for. One’s an LG GSA-4120B. The other’s a BenQ DW1625. The Benq is Lightscribe enabled…I’d go for this one. Both are quite cheap and they’ve never let me down.

LG 4167, Benq 1650/55, Liteon 1635S would all be good choices.

You could look here (http://svp.co.uk/products-list.php?cid=86&PHPSESSID=0d6c15de480b557201b85343ed6d6918). The £20 one is a Philips SPD2400. Actually it's a Liteon 1635S in drag. I bought one , flashed it back to a Liteon & I'm very pleased with it & for £20 it's an absolute bargain.
