Well after shopping around a bit this morning I decided to go against my initial plan of NOT buying Pioneer DVD drive and I ended up purchasing a DVR 111.

So, I take out my old drive and plug the new one in, Windows finds it no problem.

When I try to burn an image I have on my HD with DVD Decrypter I get an IO error every time, when I try with Nero I get a communication failed error every time. Both programmes recognise the drive.

Does anyone have any idea's how i can fix this? I'm seriously getting tired of messing about with DVD writers just lately!
