Hello,

Im trying to back up one of my xbox games. I've got the ISO on my pc, but when I boot up alcohol, it gets to about 12.6% completion, then it tells me there was a problem in the recording process. I'm using DVD-R and DVD+R media, and still getting these problems. I did a simulated burn and it reported 100% completion with no errors, yet, every time I try to write it won't go through.

Am I doing something wrong, or is it possibly my dvd burner?

well if you use qwix to make the image then i would try useing nero burning rom.you can get it at nero.com

I agree with insider68. It is possible that you have got problems with your burner but it is more like one of two things:

Inferior discs or Incapable software.

If you are using AAA rated discs you have a much better chance of success. If you are not using Nero, I would definitely recomend it as it is one of the most stable and widely trusted software around.

Well, I've got Nero and it failed too. I picked up a LiteOn dvd burner for $50 and it worked perfectly. Thanks for the help though!
