Okaaay... ok i have a problem with my DVD Player its a: Samsung Dvd-Rom Sd-608. The problem is that when i put a dvd into it plays it and has the sound but! theres n o picture its just a black screen! :( i've tried various dvd's! im using Win DVD... This has been hapening for a couple of weeks and i dont no what to do :(

Is this a stand alone dvd player or is it on your comp'

Let me know if any of this works for you....Check to see if you have Direct X 8.1 installed. Go to start->Run, there type: dxdiag

there u will see the version u have.

- U can download PowerDVD and run some diagnostic tests it provides. These might help u, as they test your video resolution and other things:

- Download DVDGenie from here:

and "play" with the settings it has for WinDVD.

- Also, try to see if you have DVD playback with Win Media Player. good luck.
