I have a laptop computer and i want to create a small media centre with it. i can connect it to my TV set via tv out of the graphics card, but i also want to get a 5:1/7:1 suround system for it. my question now is, if it is possible to connect the soundcard to the suround system, via the headphones output of the laptop, since there is no any other connection. i suppose i could buy a usb soundcard, with a proper 5:1 output, but this would cost me a fortune by itself.

hey, i dont know the name of this, but i have this chord, wich has the red and white chords, and it connects to a outlet that you can use a sound cable to plug in, when i had my computer in the living room, i used this to connect with my soround sound, i'll look around tomorrow for the package and tell you what it is called
