Hi all,

When start Nero Express, it tends to run "refresh"... comparing the existing files and dirs in my CD with those in my HardDisk. THen it reports and show how many files/directories "have been added", "have been removed" and "have been replaced" or something like that.

Actually I don't want Nero to mess up with my existing files and dir in my CD-R. I just want to add new files and dir into the CR without touching my existng dir in my CD.

I noticed that Nero tries to add new files into my existing dir in the CD because new files were added into the corresponding dir in my HD. I don't want Nero to do that !

I just want to simply add new dir into the CD WITHOUT MESSING UP WITH EXISTING FILES IN MY CD.

How do I solve my problem ?

Thanks all.

I had the same complain and was searching in forums too.
Bad news, I can't find a work around in Nero Express. Good news, it's very easy if you use Nero Burning ROM.

. Put the CD/DVD in the drive
. Start Nero Burning ROM
. Choose 'CD-ROM (ISO)'
. Click on 'Multisession' tab
. . 'Options' / 'Refresh compilation when importing session': DISABLE IT!
. Press the 'NEW' button
. When 'Select Track' appears just click 'OK'

Done.
No more unexpected refreshing thing... plus, you can navigate thru other settings and choose your preferred write speed, label etc and Nero will remember them.

I know this thread has been deal for a long time, but I am running into this issue when I open a complilation. The computer crashed while I was half-way through a compilation (had been saving as I went). Now, when I open it, it adds a bunch of files that I don't want in it and it'll be pain-staking to go through and remove them all again. :uhwell:

Is there a way to disable the "refresh" option when opening an exisiting, saved compilation?

Thank you.
