ok so ive modded5 xbox's stairt perfectly, but when i get to my friends i use the 007 softmod, i installed unleash x as the others and it works. he comes back the next day saying it wont work.i take a look at it it has error 13 wont boot any burned disks only retail. so i tried the softmod agian but when it boots the dashboard, it comes up with error 21 and i cant get past it. so heres where im at

.wont boot burned disk
.no ftp acsses
.softmod wont work
.wont boot dashboard

ok i'll give 3 days tops for you to post with suggestions after that i'll try opening it up take out the hdd, and replaceing the dashboard and see if that helps. please help this isent even my xbox. oohhh one more thing i think he has version 1.7 so that might be why it crashed.

1- did you back up his eeprom.bin and hd key?
2- error 21 means that the xbox can't find the dashboard... msxboxdash.xbe
3- can you still ftp into it?
4- if it won't boot originals, how did you reinstall the softmod?

my guess is that he must have tried to play a game that had the live update which changed some of the files, if you warned him about what to touch, and what to stay away from, and why, I can't see why he would delete anything. if you have the backup files, you can fix it by using xboxhdm to restore it, and lock the drive an put it back into his box, if you didn't back up the files, the only other option is a chip or send it to someone with a chip.
you could hotswap with another softmoded xbox, but the timing has to be exactly right, I've only been able to do it once myself.

well if you read the fist post i have no ftp acsses and error 21 does not always mean msdash it could mean any dash wich in this case its unleash x. the way i softmod is you use a retail copy of 007 ajent under fire and load the exploit. it ONLY boots ORIGINALS not copys if you read in the first one.
i do have the eprom but not shure if i have the hdd key. and no i did not have a ethernet cable connected it was a burned game. i think the reason it crashed is because its a version 1.6 and it was a friged up game. im going to fix the hard drive by taking it out and puting in to my pc. heres something you should try READ THE FIRST POST everything you sayed in that list i sayed i couldent do. and if your not shure what your talking about then dont post.

your right, I didn't fully read your post, and yes, there were some things in your post that made it clear that you don't have ftp access, and can't boot backups, but since you were so rude, and I don't know what I'm talking about, then I won't tell you the easy way to fix your box. and it's really simple... even I, oops, I mean you couldn't screw it up. :splat:

on second thought, I'm not that petty....

since you can boot oringinals, just load up 007, and reinstall the softmod... if you get an error, do it again (boot 007, and load the save from your hd).. when you get to the softmod, you have ftp access, andyou can go from there, either install a good dash, or return it to factory default. hope that helps.

ok sorry for being rude but the exploite save that was on the hard drive is somehow gone so i have to load it from the memerycard and no matter how many times i load it back it keeps coming up with the error. so i have taken the hard drive out and im trying to hook it up to my pc. but its looked and theres 3 or 4 digets that are scrambled. so i have to format a spare hdd and use that as the main then use config magic to try and reload it or get ftp acsess to load the files back on.

since you can load originals, you may still be able to gain ftp access even if the exploit is corrupted... get the ndure installer, best I've seen, and run AUF game, and load the hack from the memcard. this will not install the hack but may gain you ftp access so that you can manually reinstall the original dash/ c drive. if you have a copy of the original c on your pc, and still can't gain ftp access, you can use xbox hd maker to rebuild an original c:/ drive. hope this helps, I've sauced 3 boxes in the manner that you have described, so I know that all is not lost. the worst that I have done is had to get a solderless mod and used slayers to reinstall the drive, and locked it back to the motherboard.:madhack:

ok sso i tried to unlock it using unlockx so i could see what was wrong on my pc but some how it stuck unlocked and know it wont boot anything nether will my modded xbox because i used config magic and dident relise that i could ent lock it back or boot with out a modchip. so i herd a app called slayers auto installer can fix any prob. well can somebody plaese send me a non-torrent file of it. my email is doomwiz@hotmail.com. ive tried xbins and mirc but i only get torrents and for some reason my torrents dont want to extract
