Anyone knows how to do it?

No options in Bios to boot from external device.
I have an external USB ASUS DVD-RW and need to install XP on my laptom

Would like to do it without taking my hard drive out and connecting it to different computer.

Phone laptop manufacturer, or Microsoft.

If your Bios doesn't support booting from an external device, then you can't do it.

Either check for a Bios update, or buy an internal optical drive, they're cheap these days.
