Hi,

My wife's work laptop, a Dell Latitude D600, only has a CD player with it. Is there any way (preferably free) that would allow her to play movie DVDs on it?

Thanks,
Rich

You will not be able to access a DVD disc without installing a DVD drive and the proper decoding software, which is not free.

Your only option is to rip the DVD movie to another file format such as AVI on a capable computer then transfer the file to her laptop.

Another possible option is to create a virtual drive on the laptop and transfer the ripped DVD (VOB files or ISO format) to the laptop. You should then be able to install a DVD playing software (again, not free) and play the movie.
