well i have imation audio CD and so does my mums friend who had the same CD's as i did when he made a CD for my ma it worked on the old stereo but when i burn they do not, can anybody help please????? cannot ask the man as my ma is no longer in contact with him!!!!!!!

What format are you burning the CD in?

What software are you using?

MP3's are data CD's. Not all stereos recognise them.

You need to find out what your stereo supports, and burn accordingly. If it's old, it won't recognise MP3.


Safest way is to just burn an audio CD, which is in a different format to an MP3 CD.

Nero and most other programs can easily do this.

Try burning at a slower speed or try diff brands of disc.
