i was wondering which one is better, as i have encountered problems installing games wif my cd-rom. most of the time, when i installed applications halfway, there would be an error message saying that THE INFORMATION COULD NOT BE READ FROM THE CD.

so i was thinking whether to get another CD-ROM or DVD ROM.

i have friends using DVD ROMS and most of them are doing fine with them. well, it could be my CD-ROM that is faulty, which i 95% think it is! haha.

anyone can roughly enlightened me in layman terms about their reading sensitivity? =D

thanks alot guys!

Neither is worse or better, as far as reading and installing is concerned.

Your CD drive may have been faulty, as you said, or it may have required cleaning.
