I'm about to purchase a new computer and I'm not sure if I should go with an Athlon or a Pentium. I've heard good things about both but I don't know their features. I'll be using it for music, movies, and pictures but I also use it for school so I'll have lots of programs and documents so I'm sorta torn. If you could list all of the pros and cons of both Athlon and Pentium it'd be alot of help. Thanks!!!

The only thing is the price between them, speed between like for like is nothing to shout about.

Personally i have always stuck with AMD, with no probs, at mo mine is an AMD Athlon XP2200+, and does everything i want it to do.
