hi everyone

ive just recently bought swapmagic 3 coder version 3.8 and slide card
and ive tried making backups using alcohol 120% onto TDK dvd-r but when i try playing them it just keeps coming back to the browser screen

ive followed various guides but i just dont know where im going wrong

can someone please help me i dont know what to do:bawling:

my playstation model no is SCPH-30003 if that has any relevance

what u have is a what knows as a v3 console.
today sony produce ps2 scph 7700x which is known as v16+

what means u ckinda have and old *** ps2 aged atleast 3-4 years.

mostlikely ur laser which in ur case is khs-400B need to be replaced.

try to read a dvd-r backup movie... if ur ps2 isnt running the movie most likely ur problem is ur lens that are old.. i got here like 5 consoles waiting for a new len to be replaced in them.

it is hard to get those lens today but i oredered like these from http://www.progamer.cc i specially asked for them and they sent me.. cost me about 59 usd.

maybe u can get a new slim ps2? that most ppl do here.. also when their lens get screwed its ez as hell to replace them

the newest swapmagic 3.8 disk is rubbish,i am suprised people are buying it
a lot of users have problems with it
the older 3.6 version is better

as for the games not working,i would first look at the games you are trying to boot
SM has a TOC limit,and any games that have a higher TOC (table of contents),or the image size to me and you,wont boot
they will need rebuilding,or having the TOC refreshed using a game with a higher TOC.
some games alsp require the use of cd loader/zoneloader

so before you assume its the laser,rule out the cheaper options first,like what i mentioned above

and also try some better dvd-r like verbatims
