I have my pc connected to a dsl modem (zoom) and i have had problems before, but then they seem to go away.

The problem is, i have it in my room so it is connected to an extension from downstairs. It keeps randomly cutting off and disconnecting and then when it re-dials it loads up a meg under what im supposed to be connected with. eg. I start with 7.7mb per sec. When it disconnects and then connects again it goes down a whole meg to 6.7mb per sec.

My broadband provider is PIPEX. I went a few months without it disconnecting once... but now it has started again.

Anyone know how i can find the problem?

Your connection needs to come directly from the Master box in one run, using good quality cable.

Also you could try a new ADSL filter.
