when i installed sp1a i did not archive the files for me to uninstall.so i did a repair install which removed it.but when i try to install my graphics drivers it says try using a standard vga driver first.when i look in device manager there is no icon that says display.is there anyway to install vga drivers from xp pro disk?:furious:

Try going to Control Panel - Display - Settings - Advanced - Adaptor - Properties - Driver, from there try Updating the drivers or try a Rollback or even uninstall etc.

One way or another you should be able to reinstall them from here.

tried all that but still no luck.

It looks like the reg has been corrupted, i would do a fresh reinstall of XP.

After doing a backup of all i need to keep.
