My friend plugged his pentax camera into his vista computer and it switched off saying battery flat, so he put in new batteries and it did the same. now his camera will not work at all, anyone no what the problem is and if there is a solution?

what model of camera...
is their compatible drivers? is it older? do you go to manufacture to get new drivers or they say it is incompatible with vista? i can't say much with what i have so far... try searching on www.live.com or www.google.com for same issue, thats all i can say for now.
