I've had my dvd burner for nearly two years and until recently, it has never given me problems with any kind of media. I was using verbatim dvd-r until I ran out. I accidentally bought dvd+r, but my burner didn't seem to mind. The problem with the dvd+r is that some dvd players don't seem to like it, so I bought some cheap memorex dvd-r. They worked fine for a little while, but then they stopped working one day. I thought that maybe my burner didn't like the media, so I bought more verbatims and they don't work. My system sees the -r, but thinks the media is bad. I tried updating to the newest firmware, but that didn't help. Any suggestions?

I have a Lite-On SOHW-1213s and I am running XP. I also have an Athlon 64 processor with 1.5gig ram.
