Just bought a new Samsung DVD recoder.

Don't let this thread go down so soon.
I heard nero is good for burning
and WinxDVD and DVDXPlatinum for copying
and there's AnyDVD, DVDShrink, and AutoGK and so on.
What is suitable for me?

I use the following,

AnyDVD, CloneDVD 2, RipIt4Me (which includes DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink), and Nero.

RipIt4Me is a great tool, and it's free. Unfortunately, it will no longer be updated, so it won't deal with any future changes in DVD protection.

However, it can currently remove (the protection) and copy almost any protected DVD.

The final version is 1.7.1.0.

DVD Shrink, as the name suggests, is used when you want to further reduce the movie size, or remove features and menu items.

Keep in mind though, that a smaller size generally means less quality (depending on codec used), so only use it when you have to.
