Hi all, having problem with ma DVD-RW drive after I uninstalled Nero-7 Premuim CD-ROM Burner software. I keep getting a POP-UP screen everytime I start-up my Acer-Notebook. The error message says that my cd-rom drive is corrupted or damaged, and that I need to synchronize with the "Registery".
The error code given is "error 19". In the Device Manager window an error icon appears on the specified drive.

Please help if yu have experienced this same predicament? Really need yor kind assistance.:confused:

Have you tried deleting the drive out of Device Manager and rebooting for fresh drivers to be installed by XP.

My laptop's O.S is Windows Vista Basic. Will the same procedure apply to Windows Vista Basic O.S?
