Hi,

I have tried several emulators - I even bought 2 different emulator. Paragon and another. Daemon and others emulators.

I can make the images and install the game the 3 cd's.

But every time I start the game It says something like "make sure your playdisk is inserted"

help - please

It's the original game with license and all - but I don't have a cd-drive on my labtop and I don't want the drive running all the time...

thanks in advance

Use a No CD patch so you don't require the disc in the drive to play the game.

Use a search engine for download locations.

BTW, how are you going to install the game if you don't have a CD/DVD drive?

I was not aware of such pach. It's hard to find a site without spyware etc. Do you have a link or can you email me?

quote"BTW, how are you going to install the game if you don't have a CD/DVD drive?"

I made iso-files on another pc. Then loaded and installed them as images. That vent well, until I wanted to play the game.

There are plenty of sites that don't have spyware.

GameCopyWorld, GameBurnWorld, MegaGames, FreeInfoSociety etc.

Easiest way is to use a search engine with the term diablo 2 no cd (GameBurnWorld is the first hit on Google)

You need to use the correct version for your game version, and make a backup of any file you replace or patch, as the originals are sometimes needed later.

I am a bit nerveus about firing game.exe on my pc! :suspic:

The one from FreeInfoSociety should work, as long as your game version is 1.0.

Otherwise you'll have to try the other sites.

Hi again

game.exe starts and can't find strom.dll - what happens?

I don't have the game, so can't check for you.

It sounds like you're just clicking on game.exe, and expecting it to do the rest. (that's why it can't find strom.dll)

That won't work.

You need to go the the game directory, for example, C:\Games\Diablo2, rename game.exe to whatever you like, for example game.exe.old, then copy and paste the game.exe you got from FreeInfo into the game directory.

Then start the game normally.

I did start in the diablo directory and was not able to solve the problem with nocd - probably my fault.

But I found one emulator, that did the job nicefully - virtual cd :)

Thank for all your effords :)
