Introduction & Requirements

Total Video2Dvd Author - You need to purchase a license for this software to register it completely. Unregistered versions of the software will be added a watermark on top-left corner of the video screen.

Selecting a language

Total Video2Dvd Author can be viewed in different languages including English, Spanish and Chinese. Later we will add other languages, such as Finnish, Arabic, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese etc.. To select a language, simply click "Settings" -> "Language". Now let's look at the interface.

Note:First, activate the application . And the language of the application has been set in accordance with the operation system .

First Run Interface

This is what you will see when you run Total Video2Dvd Author for the first time.In this interface you can set TV System(PAL, NTSC), Audio type(ac3, mp2), Aspect ratio(4:3, 16:9), Quality(220mins, 112mins, 80mins, Automatic Adjustment), Chapter time, Work folder, Output folder, Temp folder and view your hard disk space. To change it, you can click "Settings" -> "System settings".

Select Run Mode
You can choose a run mode in this interface, Easy mode or Advanced mode.
Easy mode: drag video files from windows explorer, add subtitle track, and one click on output can switch to advanced mode.
Advanced mode: video files editor, photo slideshow editor, chapter editor, subtitle editor, dvd menu editor, output settings, etc.
Note: If you checked the “Don`t display this dialog next time” button, this dialog will not appear next time, if you want to change the startup mode, you can click "Settings" -> "Startup mode".

Project settings
Click "Project" -> "Project settings",
Note: You can do this only if one dvd projects exist .
Main functions:
Change the TV system of current project – NTSC or PAL
Change source file folder – save converted files and photo slideshow
Change the aspect ratio of current project – 4:3 or 16:9
Change the profile of current project
Automatic adjustment – default option, application will adjust the profile automatically for the length of total video files.
Custom profile – user custom settings, if you do not have the relevant expertise, you'd better not to change this item.

Easy mode interface
In this mode, you only need to add video files, subtitle files and set the correct sequence, and click on the “Burn” button, then program will help you complete other matters automatically.
If you click “Burn” button, application will switch to Step 3: Output, and start "Convert & Burn " automatically

Advanced mode interface
In this mode, There are three steps and three pages as following :
Setp 1: input
main functions
1. New project – create a dvd project
2. Open project – Open an existent dvd projct(*.dvp)
3. Add files –If the current project exists, it will open the file dialog and you can add video files, otherwise it will switch to step 1 .
4. Add slideshow - If the current project exists, it will open the photo slideshow dialog and you can add photo slideshow, otherwise it will switch to step 1.
5. Preview – play, pause, stop video file with subtitle .
6. Remove video file – delete video file or photo slideshow file
7. Edit photo slideshow – edit photo slideshow, set photo effect, set background music, etc..
8. Remove chapter – delete current chapter or all chapteres

Auto add chapter interface
If you check the “Replace all chapter” button, the current settings will replace all chapters of the selected file,

if you check the “Apply to all files” button, the current settings will replace all chapters of all files in the current dvd project .

Sub page 3: Subtitle and Audio interface
main functions
1. set audio language – set the language of audio , but currently only supports one audio track.
2. set subtitle language – set the language of subtitle , and supports up to 32 subtitle tracks
3. subtitle file editor – add subtitle file, edit subtitle file, delete subtitle file, set start point, set end point, set offset point, select language, set the style of subtitle .

Subtitle editor interface

If the time information(time stamp) of subtitle file doesn't accord with that of video file, you can set up offset value(offset point)here, in order to let them synchronize.
If the length of subtitle file doesn't accord with that of video file, you can set start trim point(Start point) and end trim point(End point) to let them synchronize.

Step 3: Output
Burn to dvd disc
Click the “Burn to disc” button, choose a blank dvd disc drive, then click “Convert & Burn” button. If it successes to burn the dvd video , you will receive a message reading “Burn successfully !”
Create ISO image
Click the “Create image” button, set a ISO image file name, then click “Convert & Burn” botton, If it successes to create ISO image, you will receive a message reading “Create ISO image successfully !”
