My laptop config is as follows :
Hp Pavilion dv2025tu
Intel Centrino Duo
512 Mb Ram
100gb HDD

My cdrom drive is suddenly behaving oddly. It was getting detected recently but it suddenly stopped working and it is not getting detected in the explorer and the device manager. I tried to find the solution online but they were of little help as most of them were written for desktops which suggested removing the ide drive manually...

Please help me regarding this matter.....

You need to go into the BIOS at bootup and check to see if it is being picked up there, if not it could be that the drive is faulty.
