I use Windows XP....if that matters. I recently bought a DVD recorder (Memorex MRX-500N) and got it running. Bought it really only to make data DVDs to save room on my hard drive. Works great and the DVDs seem to hold a lot of files. Running Nero software for it, by the way.
TODAY my daughter took out my Guitar Hero 3 game for my Playstation 2 to put in her game. I noticed when I was putting it back in later that there were A LOT of scratches on it from being removed and inserted so much. Put it in and it froze while loading. The 2nd time trying it, it worked.
My question is, is there a way to use my DVD burner to create a back-up disc for my game before it has one scratch too many? I tried to simply 'copy' it but when I put it in the Playstation it says 'insert a Playstation format disc'. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Game was expensive (to me at least) and if I can back it up I'll use the back-up and keep the original in the case so I'll always have it. :madhack:
