ok i am have real issues with my DVD rom its picking up 2 every time i restart im trying to reformat so when i do Boot from cd it says selected boot drive unavabile i was wondering is there a way to Wipe the other one off the face of the earth?! :disturb: its starting to really pull my nerv. ok get back to me

First make sure the data cable is the right way round and seated correctly.

Also is the BIOS detecting the drive correctly (and only once).

If all is as it should be i would try the drive in another computer just to see that its working there or not.

Also check that the drive is cofigured correctly with the jumpers on the back set as master or slave as it should be, and if you can try it on another IDE port.
